Richard B. “Dick” Mcgee

April 14, 1944 — June 2, 2020

Jamestown, Indiana

Richard Blaine “Dick” McGee, 76 of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly, June 2, 2020 in his home.

Dick was born April 14, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William Arthur and Jessie “LuLu” McGee. He was a 1962 graduate of Choctaw High School and then attended The University of Arizona.

Dick “Picked Up” Judith “Judy” Nix at a drive-in restaurant and they were married on December 27, 1963, a loving union that lasted over 56 years until his passing.

Together with his loving wife Judy he owned and operated Jamestown’s much loved “Dick and Judy’s Restaurant” for over 35 years. The restaurant was a very consuming part of Dick’s life, but he was also a member of the F & AM Hazelrigg Lodge #200 and the Jamestown Merchants Association. He enjoyed gambling and casino visits, watching Oklahoma University Football, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Judy he is survived by his children, Richard “Darin” McGee, Rhonda McGee, and Jennifer McGee; grandchildren, Meghan, Taylor, and Jake McGee and Rylan Works.

Together with his parents he was preceded in death by all his siblings, Inez Roberson, Jewel Brandt, Fred Paine, Virginia Lundy, Nora Hendrix, Arthur Hulbert, and Jessie Williams.
A private farewell was held in the care of Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, 220 N. Maple Street Pittsboro. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be announced and held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eric MD Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Pittsboro. All are invited to share thoughts and memories with the family by visiting the funeral home’s website: www.ericmdbell.com
