Anita Baumunk

The following is an obituary written by Anita’s loving family.

Anita Baumunk, 83 of Lizton, Indiana, passed away, December 8, 2023.

She was born May 26th,1940, to the late Russell Ray & Elenor Ray.

Anita attended Brownsburg High School with the class of 1958.

She married John L. Baumunk, and they enjoyed 44 years together until his passing on October 14th, 2022.

Anita worked alongside her husband, as a team, enjoying trucking and traveling across the country.  She loved her grandkids; her dog, Griff; Hallmark & Western movies; gardening; boating; and riding the golf cart around the campgrounds. Anita left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Young (Julie) and Gordon Young Jr. (Kim); daughters, Kathy Tharp and Karen Young; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Smoot.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023, in Eric MD Bell Funeral Home , where friends and family will gather from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service.

She will be laid to rest in Lizton K of P Cemetery following the service.
