Ann Rita Bernard, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018.
She was born to Marshall and Margarita Werth in 1932 in Groton, South Dakota. She enjoyed the last 54 years living in Indianapolis. While in Indianapolis, she worked as a registered Dietitian at St. Vincent Hospital, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, volunteered her time at the Fletcher Place library, and was active at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dewey Bernard, who was her high school sweetheart. In addition to her husband she is survived by four sons, David, Christopher, Dwayne, and William; a sister and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Loretta.
Ann will be fondly remembered as a Wife to one, Mother to five, Grandmother to many and, Saint to us all.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 6 in the Chapel at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis, IN 46240, where friends will gather with the family from 10 am until the time of the Funeral. Entombment will follow at the cemetery.
