Betty Jean Jackson

Greenwood, Indiana

Betty Jean Jackson, 95 of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Lizton, Indiana, peacefully passed away on February 13, 2022.  Betty was born on September 23, 1926 in Pittsboro, Indiana to Walter and Hattie (VanHorn) Jones.   She graduated from Lizton High School and married the love of her life, Edwin Jackson, on November 24, 1946 at Lizton United Methodist Church.  Their loving union lasted until his passing in 2009.  She worked for DeLuxe Check Printers, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, enjoyed traveling, and was a member of Lizton United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Betty is preceded in death by her eight siblings.  She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (husband Tony Romano) Jackson and Dee Cook; her six grandchildren, and her three great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held for Betty, and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Edwin, in K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Pittsboro Order of the Eastern Star (Chapter Number 416) or Hendricks County Senior Services.  Contact information is below.
