The following is an obituary written by Brenda’s loving family.
Brenda Joy Zwilling (71) passed away on September 12th surrounded by her family. She was born on August 8, 1953 to Betty Jo and Samuel Lee Scott in Indianapolis, Indiana. She grew up in New Brunswick and then Lizton, Indiana. She graduated from North Salem High School in 1971. She worked at different jobs over the years along with staying home with her two daughters. She was a teacher's assistant at North Salem Elementary and retired in 2019 after 30 plus years as the store manager at Crystal Flash/Circle K in Pittsboro.
She loved cheering for and supporting her grandkids at their sporting events and school activities. She was always ready to play euchre or poker with family. She enjoyed reading and taking day trips to Rockville and to the Covered Bridge Festival. She had fun eating lunch with friends and spending time outside watching birds and wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jo and Samuel Lee Scott.
She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Phil) Anderson and Jenny (David) Wire; grandchildren, Lucas Anderson, Laura Wire, Carson Wire, and Makayla Anderson; her sister, Karen (Dick) Stafford; nieces, Amanda Sawyer, Jamie Neal, and Beverley Stafford (Tom); and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends and family will gather for a graveside service at the Lizton K of P Cemetery on Saturday, September 21st at 11am. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of Brenda Zwilling.
Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Pittsboro, Indiana. All are encouraged to share thoughts, prayers, and memories with Brenda's family on her memorial page.
