Charles A. Hinkle, 60 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away unexpectedly, May 26, 2019 in his home.
Charles was born was September 02, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Henry Nolan and Gladys M. (Wilcox) Hinkle. He was a 1977 graduate of Western Boone High School, following his graduation he immediately enlisted in the United States Navy where he faithfully served his county as a Nuclear Propulsion Mechanic until his honorable discharge.
Following his military career Charles worked in maintenance and most recently kept motorists and construction workers safe as a road flagman with the Wright Corporation.
On September 2, 1978 he married Marquetta Johnson, a loving union that would last until her untimely passing in 1988. Above all Charles was a loving and doting family man.
Charles is survived by his father, Henry Nolan Hinkle. He is also survived by his daughter, Stephanie (husband Justin) Schmitz of Martinsville; brothers, Nolan Leroy Hinkle and Philip Joseph Hinkle of Indianapolis; sisters, Daisy Benedict (Curt Jaite) of Indianapolis, Darlynda Klingele (Troy), Pasco, WA, Deanna Garnand (Mark) of Lebanon, Danita Cichecki (Ted) of Colfax, IL; his beloved grandson, Matthew Lady; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Hinkle.
Memorial gifts are encouraged to the Hinkle family to assist with final expenses.
Funeral Services with Naval Military Honors, will be held at 1pm, Friday, May 31, 2019 in the David A. Hall Mortuary in Pittsboro, where friends and family will gather from 11am until the time of the service
