Constance Joan (Hardesty) Spurgeon

Connie Spurgeon died unexpectedly September 8, 2023, at her home. She was born at home on May 4, 1940, in Bucktown, Indiana. Connie was the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy Hardesty. She graduated from Pleasantville High School and went on to beauty college where she became a beautician. Later, Connie married the love of her life, Don Spurgeon, from Linton, Indiana. The two were married in 1958. Surviving in addition to her husband, Don, is her daughter Rhonda (Spurgeon) Tucker and her husband Dan, son Brad Spurgeon and his wife Kim, 4 grandchildren - Jeremy Tucker and his wife Dana, Josh Tucker and his wife Lindsay, Lyndsey (Spurgeon) Cooper and her husband Nick, Justin Spurgeon and his wife Shelbi, and 8 great-grandchildren - Ashlyn Tucker, Alivia Tucker, Addie Tucker, Bennett Cooper, Griffin Cooper, Alayna Tucker, Hayden Spurgeon and Avery Spurgeon. Connie also has two brothers that survive her, Gary Hardesty and his wife Karen and Rod Hardesty and his wife Shirley, as well as her nieces and nephews. Please join us for her celebration of life on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 2:00-5:00 pm at Scamahorn Park in Pittsboro, Indiana (Legion building).
