The following is an obituary written by Cyndi's loving family.
Cynthia Lorene (Greer) Miller, "Cyndi", passed away Monday, December 30, 2024.
She was born April 26, 1961, to George "Gutty" Washington Greer, Jr. (deceased) and Delores "Shorty" Irene Greer (deceased) in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Cyndi was the third of four children born to Gutty and Shorty.
Cyndi grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana where she met and married the love of her life, Brett A. Miller (a.k.a. the thorn in her side!) at the Dog 'N' Suds! They had three children, Brock A. Miller (Tamara), Danielle D.A. Schrier, and Stephanie L. Gosser (Matthew). Ma had ten grandchildren, Shelby Lynn, Emma Mae, Dale Edward, Addison Danielle, Wyatt Matthew, Owen Paul, Reid Allan, Walker Allan (deceased), Dalton Cosby (deceased), and Augustus Levi. Cyndi was loved by her surviving siblings, Janet Greer Austin (Bob); Harold Greer (Pam); Mark Miller (Jeanette); and Greg Harmon, along with her eight nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews, while being preceded in death by her sister, Frances Irene Greer, and great-niece, Leah Rae Wasson.
Cyndi was the first female firefighter with the Pittsboro Volunteer Fire Department from 1983 through the mid-1990s, when she had to step away due to her vision. Cyndi was also a small antique and primitive business owner for over 20 years. She utilized her passion and artistic ability to create treasures for many people to enjoy.
Cyndi had a great love for horses and their therapeutic abilities, which brought her to the Hendricks County Horse Club in recent years.
Cyndi led her life through her faith and love for family and friends. Cyndi's friendship and support for the people she cherished was undeniably strong, genuine, passionate, and full of the utmost love.
