Daisy Eloise Hinkle Benedict

The following is an obituary written by Daisy's loving family.

Daisy Eloise Hinkle Benedict, 65 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 15, 2023, surrounded by family, after fighting a short battle with cancer.  She was born to Henry Nolan and Gladys Hinkle on February 21, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She is survived by her companion, Curtis Jaite; her sons, Dennis, Michael, Nolan (Amanda) Demaree of Indianapolis; her grandkids, Isabella, Abby (Pat Underwood), Phoebe, Tristan, Payton, Addison, Colton, Nolan, and Aniken Demaree, Katie (Ray) Circharo, Hannah, Joslyn and Abby Cleary, Jeremy (Jessica) Moss, and Tory (Brandon) Schultz; her great-grandkids, James and Dean Underwood, Zaylynn, Jace, Brice, and RosAaliya Moss, and Bently and Bayleigh Schultz; her siblings, Nolan LeRoy, Philip Hinkle Sr. (both of Indianapolis), Darlynda (Troy) Klingele (of Washington State), Deanna (Mark) Garnard (of Lebanon, Indiana), and Danita (Ted) Cichecki (of Illinois).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gladys Hinkle; her brother, Charles Hinkle; and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hinkle and Marquetta Hinkle.

Daisy worked in many food establishments.  She began at Holiday Inn in Lebanon, Indiana and ended her career at Denny's in Indianapolis, where she had worked for 15 years.  She enjoyed working, but her real enjoyment was Curtis and her family.  Her Tuesday family dinners were a highlight of each and every week.

Friends and family will gather at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  A funeral service for Daisy will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, 10:00 am, at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home.
