Dennis Rust, 53, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2022.
The following is a life story written by his loving family.
Dennis Blaine Rust, 53, passed away peacefully on November 12th in his daughter’s home. Denny was a loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a career as a respected automotive painter. Denny was kind, funny, smart, and the life of the party. He enjoyed football, rock music, golf, cookouts, the beach and spending time with his family and friends. His daughters and granddaughter meant the world to him just as he meant the world to them.
Denny was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 17th, 1969. Growing up, Denny enjoyed being a wrestler, working on cars and hanging out with his friends. His hobbies later in life included tailgating, attending Colts games, golfing recreationally, cooking out, and traveling. Denny became a father with the birth of daughter Lacy in 1991 then again with daughter Madison in 1999. He became a grandfather in 2017 with granddaughter Emma.
Denny is preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary and Albert, who have now greeted him with open arms. He is survived by his daughters, Lacy and Madison; granddaughter, Emma; mother of his children, Tracy; and his sister, Angela Price, along with her family.
Denny was known for his wide smile and loud laugh. He will always be loved and remembered. Rest in peace, beloved Denny.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Indiana. Denny will be laid to rest with a graveside service in Floral Park Cemetery immediately following the time of gathering at the funeral home.
