Donald Lee Downing

Donald Lee Downing, 87 of Brownsburg, Indiana, peacefully passed away on December 9, 2021 at Countryside Meadows.  Donald was born on January 26, 1934 to Virgil and Mary (Anderson) Downing.  He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean War.  After earning several medals and being honorably discharged, he became a millwright for Link-Belt.  He married the love of his life, Barbara, on September 14, 1957, a loving union that would last until her passing in 2007.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Donald was preceded in death by his sons, David Ray Downing and Dwayne Lee Downing; his brother, Albert Downing; and his sister, Barbara Richey.

He is survived by his daughter, Diana Downing, his five grandchildren, and his six great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 12pm, Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Brownsburg Cemetery. Pastor Jim Littlejohn of Connection Pointe Church will be officiating.
