Donald Eugene Tidd

Donald E. Tidd, 90 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was born on September 14, 1932, in North Vernon, Indiana to Vernon and Bessie (Ault) Tidd.  It was love at first sight when he met his wife of 63 years, Rebecca “Becky” (Robbins) Tidd.  They were always meant to be together, and Becky passed away earlier this year.  Donald was a longtime, faithful member of The Worship Center of Indianapolis, where he attended alongside Becky.  He proudly retired from Indiana Oxygen after many years of being a dedicated truck driver.  He spread the love of Jesus as an ordained minister, and he loved spending time with his family at sporting events.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca Tidd; his granddaughter, Miranda French; and his great-granddaughter, Emily.

Donald is survived by his children, LaDonna (Don) Brock, Rhonda (Jerry) Slayton, Brian (Darlene) Tidd, and Faith (Bud) Price; his sister, Norma Redmond; his brother-in-law, Brent (Shirley) Robbins; his grandchildren, Josh (Erica) Throop, Adam (Sarah) Throop, Jessica (Derrek) Staton, Chelsea (Ben) Lam, Brian Jr (Taylor) Tidd, Matt Price, Stephanie (Kris) McCormick, and Brock French; his great-grandchildren, Caleb, Carter, Lincoln, Delilah, Brayden, Braxton, JaiLynn, Shelbie, Cora, Kristopher, Hayden, Chloe, and Paxton; his great-great grandchild, Evelyn; as well as a host of family and friends who cherished him dearly.

Friends and family will gather at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Indiana, on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the celebration of life beginning at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Worship Center of Indianapolis.
