d. October 8, 2022

Avon, Indiana

Dr. Abdul Hadi Khan, of Avon, Indiana passed from this world on October 8, 2022, with his beloved children, Aliya and Tariq, by his side.  Abdul Hadi was born in Kulachi, Pakistan on April 15th, 1944, the eldest of seven children.  He studied medicine at Khyber Medical College and graduated in 1968. After college, he spent a few years in the United Kingdom, and in the mid-1970s, he emigrated to the United States.  He later specialized in anesthesia, but his real passion was in pain management, which he practiced for well over 30 years in various hospitals around the U.S. and his own personal clinics.     He raised his family with his ex-wife, Rose, in several U.S. states and in Pakistan.   He loved his three grandchildren, Aryana, Sabriyya, and Phaydra, with all his heart.

Abdul Hadi was an avid traveler, visiting five continents in his lifetime, and he travelled almost the entire U.S.  He loved photography, music, good food and he loved to make people laugh.

Anyone that knew Hadi knew that he had a fun-loving soul and a boisterous laugh.  He loved engaging people in philosophical discussions and challenging people’s perspectives.

He is survived by his children, Aliya and Tariq; his grandchildren, Aryana, Sabriyya and Phaydra; his brothers, Abdul Rauf, Abdul Rasheed, Abdul Samad and Abdul Majeed; and his one sister, Sharfu Nissa.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Abdul Lateef, and his parents, Nur Muhammad and Bakhtiyar Bibi.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services.  All are encouraged to keep Dr. Hadi's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
