Frances Arlene Belcher, 91, went home to be with the Good Lord on June 12, 2024, at Danville Rehabilitation in Danville, Indiana. She was born to the late Claude and Eva Underhill.
Frances was a loyal wife to late Everett Paul Belcher for close to 50 years. They were best friends and created a beautiful life together. Upon retirement, they packed up their camper and traveled the country together.
Frances was a devoted mother to Vicki (Bryan) Coleman, grandmother to Justin (Angie) Coleman and Carissa (Stephan) Wilson Coleman and great-grandmother to Robert and Charlotte Coleman.
Frances was a country girl and enjoyed her time living in the "hills" of rural Southern Indiana. She loved to grow flowers, garden, go on long walks and collect interesting rocks. Frances was a jokester, loved to read comics, always sang an old jingle or hymn and tried to make everyone smile. She always said she was still kicking just not as high. After a visit she said, "See you later, alligator!"
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Underhill and son, Richard Belcher. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Goldman; her brother, Paul Underhill; brother-in-law, Leon (Marilyn) Belcher; and sister-in-law, Maxine (Dwight) King and many nieces and nephews.
"After a while, crocodile."
Burial will take place at Grantsburg Cemetery in Grantsburg, Indiana. Private service information to follow.
Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Pittsboro, Indiana. All are encouraged to share thoughts, prayers, and memories with Frances's family on her memorial page found on the funeral home's website, www.ericmdbellfuneralhome.com .
