Fynleigh Hathaway

Fynleigh Lesley Hathaway, age 3, was born September 24, 2018, to her mother, Makenzie Fouts (Hathaway) and her father, William Hathaway. Fynleigh passed away on July 11, 2022 at Riley Childrens Hospital surrounded by family. Fynleigh loved being outdoors, regardless of the adventure. Despite her physical complexities, she had the ability to humble most anyone, light up every room she entered and steal the hearts of family, friends, and strangers. Fynleigh was appropriately called “Fynnie Sunshine”.

Fynleigh was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Carl Cambridge and Leslie “Les” Fouts. Survivors include her parents, Makenzie (Ben Durham) of Pittsboro, IN: her father, William Hathaway of Hinesville, GA; her brother, Benjamin “ Scout” Durham Jr.; her grandparents, Lisa and Brian Lee and Scott and Pam Fouts; her great-grandparents, Sharon (Randy) Simmons; her aunts, Brandi (Justin) Ison (Godparents), Colleen (John) Wright, and Morgan Fouts; her uncles, Hunter Fouts and Andrew (Zoey) Lee; her cousins, Samaya and Brody Ison, Johnathon and Kayden Wright, and Reid Lee; as well as many extended aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and family will gather on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home, from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm.  Fynleigh will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana following the service.
