Jerry Bougher

On February 25th, 2020, Jerry Dean Bougher went home to be with the Lord. Jerry was born on July 25,1950 in Carroll County to Clarence Bougher and Pauline (Foist) Bougher, both of whom precede him in death.  Jerry married his wife, Joyce (Venis) Bougher on April 25, 1969. She survives along with their son Jeremy (fiancée Amanda) of Forest, Indiana; his grandson, Colin of Lebanon; his two great-grandsons, Caeden and Lincoln of Lebanon; and two step-grandchildren, Xavier and Miranda of Forest. Jerry is also survived by four brothers, Richard (Lisa) of Tennessee; Michael (Caren) of Sheridan; Glen (Margaret) of Sheridan; and Meredith (Lela) of Lafayette; and one sister, Paulette (John) of Indianapolis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry graduated from Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Indiana.

After graduating in 1968, he then attended Ivy Tech where he received his Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Jerry worked for Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis, IMMI in Westfield, Gerry Baby in Colorado, Graco in Ohio, and then joined Dorel Juvenile Group in Columbus, Indiana where he retired in June of 2016. Jerry loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and both water and snow skiing as well as working on his collector cars.

In lieu of flowers, Jerry ask that donations be made to one of the following in his honor:  Riley's Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or St Jude’s Children's Hospital.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 29th from 11 am until 1 pm with funeral services starting at 1 pm at David A. Hall Mortuary, located at 220 North Maple Street in Pittsboro (phone number is 317-892-4242 ).  Jerry will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon following the services.
