Karen Herman

Karen Marie Herman, 77 of North Salem, IN, passed away November 17, 2024.  The following is an obituary written by her loving family.

Karen was born on July 2, 1947, to James D. and Holly Rigsby. Karen graduated from Danville High School in 1965.  Following high school, Karen worked for the Speedway School System until she got married.  She eventually ended up working at North Salem Elementary as an aide and finally as the secretary until she retired.

Karen married William T. Herman on November 26, 1975, and their daughter was born in 1979.

Karen loved to go shopping, do crafts, and spend time with her granddaughter, Olivia. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law.  She is survived by her daughter, granddaughter, and brother.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Monday, November 25, 2024 in Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, where friends are invited to gather with the family from 11 am until the time of the funeral service.  She will be laid to rest in Hadley Cemetery in Danville, Indiana following the funeral service.
