Karen Lynn Kish

Karen Lynn Kish, 71, of Pittsboro, IN, formerly of Hoffman Estates & Gurnee, IL, passed away on February 17, 2025. 

 Karen was born June 12, 1953 in Cleveland, OH to Ernest and Lillian (Evek) Kish. She graduated from Midpark High School and The Ohio State University. Karen retired from Abbott Laboratories after a long career in IT.

In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and volunteering with Central Indiana Lab Rescue And Adoption. She was passionate about helping dogs find loving homes. She opened her heart and home to many dogs over the years, giving them a loving place to live and thrive.

Karen was an avid Ohio State fan, loved the city of Chicago, and enjoyed listening to Queen and the Rolling Stones. 

She is survived by her mother, Lillian Kish; brother, David (Cheryl) Kish; nieces, Marissa (David) Barnett, Elainna (Ben) Fair, and Andrea Kish. She was also loved by her great-nieces and nephews, Linnea, Maverick, Clark, Theo, Branson, Maeva, and Keeley. She will be missed by her dogs, Max and Cocoa. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Kish. 

There will be no visitation or services.

Memorial donations in Karen’s memory may be directed to Central Indiana Lab Rescue And Adoption, INC. or The Polycystic Kidney Foundation.
