Kathryn T. (Thomas) Phillippe

Kathryn T. “Kathy” Phillippe, 58 of Pittsboro, passed away unexpectedly, March 7, 2018.

She was born, November 9, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late R. Wayne and Judith (Dolan) Thomas. She was a 1978 graduate of Greencastle High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Commercial Arts from Vincennes University.

For many years she worked in the medical field as an EMT, Health Aide, and as a Group Home Manager. Kathy will be fondly remembered for her tenure as a cashier at Crystal Flash in Pittsboro. She was a ray of sunshine in a dark world and she will be deeply missed by many .

Survivors include her brother, Chris (wife Kellie) Thomas; step-son, Matt Cowart; cousin, Shirley (husband Dayton) Cherry; and uncle, Lee (wife Marg) Dolan.

She was preceded in death in 2015 by her loving husband, Sheldon Lee Phillippe, Jr. and a brother, Michael Thomas.

Private Cremation Inurment will occur at a later date.

The family requests, memorial gifts be directed to and be made payable to the David A. Hall Mortuary to assist in defrayment of cremation expenses.
