Kenneth Eugene Marker

February 25, 1947 — April 25, 2020

Kenneth Eugene Marker, 73, a lifelong resident of Pittsboro, Indiana, passed away on April 25, 2020 at Brownsburg Meadows Nursing Home due to the Covid-19 virus.  Kenny was born on February 25, 1947 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana to Cleo and Doris (Agan) Marker.  His parents preceded him in death.

Kenny received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized in Big White Lick Creek on October 26, 1958.  He was a faithful member of Pittsboro Baptist Church.  In the foyer of Pittsboro Baptist Church there is a picture of Pastor Sherman Essex baptizing Kenny in the creek.  He was certified as an Eagle Scout by the National Council on September 19, 1964.  He was in Troop 309.  Kenny graduated from Pittsboro High School in 1965.

Kenny worked many years at Kroger in Brownsburg, Indiana, retiring from there in 2005.  He also worked at Frank and Mary’s in Pittsboro, Indiana. Kenny loved his hometown.  Every time he received a visitor, Kenny would ask, “What is new in Pittsboro?”  Kenny enjoyed reading his Bible until macular degeneration prevented him from seeing the print.  He was a faithful prayer warrior and a wonderful witness for Jesus Christ.  He was a great friend and will be sorely missed.
