Kenneth Ottinger, Sr. of New Winchester, Indiana passed away peacefully March 7, 2025 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Indiana.
Kenny was born to Dennis and June (McGinn) Ottinger on June 24, 1948 of New Castle, IN. He is survived by his wife Sue (Hatcher) Ottinger, daughter Tammy Ottinger, son DJ (Nette) Ottinger and daughter-in-law Suzanne (Hutcheson) Ottinger. His grandchildren Sara Tanner, Elizabeth (Gaven) Shrout, Anna (Gage) Everman, Dawson (Alex) Ottinger, Trevor (Micah) Ottinger, Chase Ottinger, Michael (MaKinley) Rains, Dominic and Bryce. As well as, great grandchildren Ayden and Parker. Kenny's brother Larry (Sue) Ottinger and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Ottinger Jr, his parents Dennis and June, his brother Shorty (Linden) Ottinger and in-laws Jim and Elinor Hatcher.
Kenny was a Butcher/meat cutter for many years at Young Brother's Meat Market in Ladoga, IN. He later transitioned to owning/driving a semi hauling grain for local farmers until he retired.
Kenny loved spending time with family and friends especially during racing. He raced Go-carts, Motorcycle Hill Cimbing and Stock Car racing at Putnamville, IN. Many memories were made during these times with his family and friends.
A Farewell Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Eric Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Pittsboro, where friends and family are invited to gather starting at 11:00 am. All are encouraged to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a favorite charity of the donor's choice.
