Lowell W. Bailey

Lowell W. Bailey, 75 of Poland, IN, passed away, June 12, 2018 in Greencastle, Indiana.

Lowell was born March 29, 1943 in Rural Boone County to the late Clarence & Ruby “Woodard” Bailey and was a 1961 graduate of Pittsboro High School. He worked for as an inspector at General Motor’s Allison in Indianapolis, retiring after 31.5 years.

Lowell was an active 51-year member of the Pittsboro Masonic Lodge #620 F & AM, the Pittsboro Order of the Eastern Star, and the Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his siblings, Lawrence E. Bailey and Marilyn B. Mitchell (husband Myron);  17 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Catherine Bailey (infant), Kenneth W. Bailey, Richard G. Bailey, Dr. Robert E. Bailey, and Walter C. Bailey

Friends and family will gather from 4 pm until 7 pm, Monday, June 18, in the David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, June 19 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the K of P Cemetery, Lizton, IN.
