Mary Ann Trent, 83 of Avon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, February 11, 2025, in Life's Journey Hospice, Avon, Indiana.
The following is an obituary written by her loving family.
Born Mary Ann Robinson on February 3, 1942, to Martna Ellen and Clyde Robinson, she was the baby of all the children. She had three brothers and three sisters, all of whom, along with her parents and son, preceded her in death. She had four children, Joseph Hadsell, Jr., Christopher Trent, Connie Trent, and Mathew Trent. She also had five stepchildren, Lester Trent, David Trent, Darrell Trent, Shirly Denny, and Ronnie Woods. Among the ones she loved the most were her 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She went to high school until 11th grade at Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. In 1977 she married Marshall Dillon Trent at the Lizton Baptist Church, where she also sang in the choir. She became a widow when he passed away from cancer in 1991.
In her late 40s, after being a homemaker her whole adult life, she began working at McDonald's in Indianapolis as a cookline worker until she retired 11.5 years later.
She made a lot of friends while working at McDonald's and she loved her job. Some of her hobbies included playing Bingo, Uno, and Phase 10. She also loved to eat and loved to cook! She was a huge foodie who loved to try new things. Her house was the house everyone would go to for holidays and celebrations, and everyone was welcomed with open arms. She knew no stranger and loved everyone unconditionally for who they were. Even in tough times for herself, she would always help someone in their time of need! She loved going on Wal-Mart trips and dancing to the Wal-Mart music! She had the best, warmest smile and the most contagious laugh. She was very adamant about looking her best in public and would carry a brush or comb everywhere to make sure her hair was always looking good. Her love will live on through everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her and the kindness she spread like sunshine.
Even in her sickest days, she held strong in her faith and love for Jesus and her family!
She loved music and would sing along with her whole heart to songs she knew! She was a blast to be around with her jokes and scare tactics. There was never a dull moment in the presence of Mary Ann Trent.
