Mona Kay Gregory

Mona Gregory, 71 of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away on December 27, 2022.  The following is an obituary written by her loving family.

Mona Kay Gregory passed away December 27, 2022. She was born October 3, 1951, in Indianapolis Indiana, daughter of Gene and Evelyn (Inkoff) Hoover. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1969. Mona faced many losses in her life, including her infant daughter, Alyson, but stayed strong and determined. She worked full-time while raising her daughter, Ashley, playing the role of both mother and father. Despite these struggles she provided a loving and warm home for her daughter.

Even though her health had declined over the past few years she stayed positive. Her indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Mona lived life to the fullest as a retiree. She was an avid crafter, card player and shopper. Mona always knew how to find a bargain. Her true passion was spending time with family and friends.

Mona is survived by her sister, Gina (Jerry) Lusk; her daughter, Ashley (Christopher) Moore; and her grandson, Marshall. An informal gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 7th from 1PM-3PM at Sugar Grove Assisted Living in Plainfield.
