Myrna Dell Smith, 78 of Danville, Indiana, passed away at Methodist Hospital on November 22, 2024. She was born September 28, 1946, in Indianapolis Indiana. She was a lifelong resident of Hendricks County. Her parents were Donald and Margaret (Mace) Tinder. She graduated in 1964 from Pittsboro High School. She retired from Indiana Department of Correction Girl School. She also worked at Ben Franklin and Hendricks County Court House doing Title work.
Besides the love for her family, Jesus, cooking and hand quilting, Myrna spent many hours hand quilting, teaching her grandkids how to garden, can, sew, crochet, knit, embroider and many other things. She was loved and will be missed by a lot people, big and small and especially her family.
She leaves behind Three Grand-children. Jennifer (Jose’) Mercado; Joshua (Alma) Lovins; and Jesse Smith. She has three Great Grandchildren, Jordan, Braden, and Brya. Also, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Tinder, her husband Richard Smith, her daughter Penny Jack, her grandson Michael Lovins, her siblings Terry Tinder, Donnetta Robertson, Leah Tinder
The memorial service for Myrna will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2 pm, at The Journey Church, located at 5250 East U.S. Highway 36, Suite 430, Avon, Indiana 46123.
Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home. All are asked to keep the Smith family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
