Patrick Clossey

August 1, 1941 — September 2, 2024

Brownsburg, Indiana

We sadly announce the passing of Patrick (Pat) Clossey, 83 of Brownsburg. He passed peacefully at the Meadows Medical Care Facility on September 2, 2024.

Pat is survived by his wife, Diane Gordon Clossey and son, Steve Clossey; brother, Guy Clossey and his family; sister-in-law, Peggy Gordon and her family; brother-in-law Gary Gordon and his wife, Janet and their family; and cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma (Davis) and Thomas “Ed” Clossey, brother, Tom Clossey, and brother-in-law, Denny Gordon.

Pat grew up in Brownsburg, IN and played Varsity Football and Varsity Basketball at Brownsburg High School. After graduating high school, he married Diane Gordon Clossey in 1962. Pat owned and operated Brownsburg Automotive for over 47 years. A staple in Brownsburg, Pat helped many people through his business and service to the community.

Those who knew Pat best would describe him as a spirited individual, always looking for the next laugh. A prankster all his life, Pat loved to play practical jokes on those he loved. The only thing that overshadowed his love of a good joke was his generosity. He was generous to a fault, always supporting family and friends with his time, wisdom, and patience. Pat had a love of horses, cool cars, and a cold Budweiser. Above all, Pat will always be remembered for his love of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Connection Point Christian Church in Brownsburg on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The family will be receiving guests from 10 am to 12 pm, with the service starting at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send a memorial contribution to The Macular Degeneration Association.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eric MD Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services. All are encouraged to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
