Paula Hensel

Paula Sue Hensel, 72, of Pittsboro, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 15, 2021. Paula was born on January 11, 1949, in Brookville, Indiana, to Howard “Jim” and Margie (Hoff) Morin. On July 17, 1976, she married the love of her life, Tim Hensel, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Being extraordinarily talented in sewing and embroidery, she wore a wedding dress she created herself. She attended Bryman Medical School and retired from her career in medical administration from Indiana University Hospital. Paula was a member of St. Malachy Altar Society, the Embroiders’ Guild of America, the American Sewing Guild, and a parishioner of St. Malachy Catholic Church. She was also involved with the charity, Birthline, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband, Tim; her sons Eric (Ellen), Doug (Jennifer), and Mark Hensel; her granddaughter, Adalynne Hensel; her brothers Jay (Georganna) Morin and Mike (Sue) Morin; and her sisters Julie (Steve) Hall and Ruth (Jeff) Bugher, along with many nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, September 23, visitation will take place at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro between 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

On Friday, September 24, friends and family will gather at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg to pray the Rosary beginning at 10:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:30 am. The mass will be live streamed at https://stmalachy.org/. Inurnment at Indiana Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana, will take place at a later date. After the mass, all are welcome to a meal at the church provided by the women of the parish.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial gifts be given to Birthline (https://www.archindy.org/humanlifeanddignity/ministries-birthline.html ) or Phi Beta Psi Sorority (https://www.phibetapsi.org/donate).

Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Pittsboro, Indiana. All are encouraged to share thoughts, prayers, and memories with Paula’s family on her memorial page found on the funeral home’s website, www.ericmdbellfuneralhome.com .
