PENNY SUE (SMITH) ENDRES, 52, of Pittsboro, passed away peacefully November 20, 2016 surrounded by family after an extended illness with metastatic breast cancer.
Penny was a 1982 graduate from Tri-West High School. She worked most of her adult life in the medical field as a financial administrator. She was a member of Venture Church. She had a passion for flower gardening, rescuing homeless animals and music.
Penny was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, Jim Smith, and a stepfather, Thomas Cales.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Endres; mother, Patricia Cales; four legged son, Luke; four legged daughters, Tulip, Daisy, Brenda; stepchildren, Lyndsay (Dustin) Birge, Lyle Endres; sisters, Teresa (Dan) Wilson, Celia (Donnie) White, Anita (Jason) Jones, Jacki ((Rick) Sumner, Leslie (Larry) Duncan; brother, Greg (Nancy) Cales; nieces, Amber Beavers, Jenna Jones, Jessica Jones, Emily White; nephews, Joe (Tiana) Wilson, Nathan Brock, Tyler Brock.
A Celebration of Penny's Life will be held on Wednesday, November 30, with visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. and a service at 7 p.m.
The family has asked that donations be made in the name of Penny Endres to METAvivor.org, Sweet Melissa Foundation and Venture Church.
