Phyllis Bodfish, 92 of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on May 29, 2021 at Aldersgate Retirement Community. She was born on August 14, 1928 in Lizton, Indiana, a daughter of the late Percy and Eunice Harlan Ratliff, and beloved wife of her late husband, George H. Bodfish. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Ratliff.
She was employed in journalism after attending Indiana University. Phyllis was a member and active volunteer of Providence United Methodist Church and Kingswood Garden Club. She was a former member of Garfield United Methodist Church in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Her passions included birdwatching, golf, travel, bridge, and gardening.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Evelynn (Lynn) Bodfish of Reno, NV; son, John Bodfish (wife Julie) of LaGrande, OR; grandson, John Davis Bodfish of Boise, ID; granddaughter, Erin Bodfish of Portland, OR; and sister-in-law, Betty Ratliff of Lizton, IN.
Phyllis will be laid to rest in with a graveside ceremony in Lizton K of P Cemetery on July 10, 2021 at 11 am.
