Phyllis E. Booker

Phyllis E. (Rush) Booker passed away peacefully Wednesday December 11, 2024, with her daughter Karen and caregivers by her side. She was born January 25, 1931, to her parents Howard and Velma Rush in North Salem, In.

She graduated from North Salem High School in 1949. She married Richard (Dick) Booker of Barnard, In. October 15, 1955. He preceded her in death in 1997.

Phyllis held several positions in different departments in the Hendricks County Courthouse in the 1970’s through the 1980’s.She also was a very talented artist, seamstress, quilter, pianist, organist, and enjoyed caning antique furniture. She was a member of the Pittsboro Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter Karen of Carmel, In and son Kirk (Pamela) of Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Tuesday December 17 at Eric MD Bell Funeral Home Pittsboro, with visitation there one hour prior to the time of the funeral. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider a donation to the Pittsboro Christian Church in her memory.
