Phyllis Ladine Whiles Greeson, 79 of Brownsburg, Indiana, peacefully passed away November 16, 2020 in Brownsburg Meadows. Phyllis was born on August 3, 1941 in Bethel Ridge, Kentucky to Robert and Ada (Thompson) Whiles. She married Darrell T. Greeson in 1964 in Hendricks County, Indiana, a loving union that would last until his passing in July of 2002. Phyllis graduated from North Salem High School and was very active in the Alumni Association. She retired from General Motors in the Allison Division. In her earlier years, she was an avid community volunteer with the local Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, Haunts of Hidden River and any other community organization seeking her skills and enthusiasm; a lifetime member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority; and the best daughter, sister, aunt and friend you would ever want to meet. She especially enjoyed traveling, whether with her Ambassadair friends or her diva nieces, family, and friends. She especially enjoyed soaking up the sun in Naples, Florida. She was generous and loving – always reminding the recipients of her generosity to “just say thank you”.
Survivors include brothers Frank (Judy) Wiles and Gerald Wiles; nieces Shelli Wiles Phillips, Char (Jeff) Wiles Rhodes, and Layna (Ron) Wiles Beard; nephews Mike (Diana) Wiles, Tony (Laura) Wiles, Curtis (Rhonda) Wiles, Eric (Julie) Wiles, Greg (Amy) Wiles, Barry (Jody) Wiles, Jason (Jennifer) Wiles; many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Phyllis is preceded in death by her brother, Delmer Wiles; her nieces, Jill Merritt and Kaytlyn Paige; and her great-great nephew, Coy Marion Gregory.
