Raymond “Scott” Dugan, 48 of Danville, IN (formerly of Lizton), went home to be with the Lord, February 5, 2019, after a difficult battle with Melanoma.
Scott was born April 25, 1970 in Danville, Indiana. He was a graduate of Tri-West High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Ball State University, where he also studied theology. He worked his passion as a Truck Driver. In addition to his love of trucking he was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed riding as much as possible.
On July 11, 2015 Scott married the love of his life, Marie (Cox) Dugan, a loving Christian marriage that would endure until his passing. Together Scott and Marie were passionate about ministry to the homeless. With that in mind they formed the non-for-profit, Hearts for the Homeless. Marie and Scott spent a minimum of every Saturday together, caring for the homeless, cooking them meals, providing clothing, heat, and helping with furnishings for those who had made it into housing.
In addition to his charitable work Scott was a member of the New-Life Christian Church in Lizton.
Survivors include his parents, Steve Dugan and Marialisa (husband Robert) Pippin; siblings, Brent Dugan, Rusty Dugan, Marcus (Wife Tammy) Dugan, and Jennette Rader; children, Amber Williams-Kaspar, Adam Williams, Amanda Imel, and David Dugan; and step-children, Haelee and Joshua Russell.
