Regina Lee Servies

Regina Lee Servies, 75 of Pittsboro, Indiana, passed away at Hendricks Regional Hospitalon December 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Regina was born to Clyde Fry and Ester (Myers) Fry on January 13, 1947, in Indianapolis.  She graduated from Brownsburg High School.  Regina's first job was working at the Clermont Drive-In.  Upon graduation, she worked a short time at Howard Sam's before settling into a career with the United States Postal Service.  Regina served 35 years at the post office, and during that time met her future husband, Glenn Servies.  They married June 1970 and were married 36 years before Glenn preceded her in death in December 2006.

Together, they enjoyed camping and fishing, working in the yard, and playing cards with best friends, Judy, and her husband, Bob.  After moving to the country, Regina enjoyed riding and raising horses with best friend, Nancy.  When son, Jason, began 4-H in the early 1980s, they travelled the state of Indiana showing rabbits.  Regina volunteered with the Hendricks County 4-H Rabbit Project.  Throughout her life, Regina loved spending the 4-H Fair Week watching her great-niece, Shelby, and her great-nephew, Dalton, show cattle, hogs, and lambs.  Grandson, Jesse, gave her great joy watching ringside as he showed dairy steers, dairy goats, and his llama, Fawn.  Granddaughter, Mackayla, kept Regina busy cheering her on while showing dairy goats and her alpaca, Jenny.  Regina travelled extensively with her family to dairy goat shows around the state, making numerous friends along the way.  She enjoyed helping raise both Jesse and Mackayla, as she opened her home to Jason and his wife, Crystal, and their family for the past 14 years.

Regina is survived by her son, Jason Servies, and his wife, Crystal; her grandson, Jesse Servies (22) and her granddaughter, Mackayla Servies (12); her sister, Marilyn Doolin, and Marilyn's husband, Gary.  Regina is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Friends and family will gather at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hendricks County 4-H.
