Richard Lee Cloud, Jr., 74, of Pittsboro, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2019 at his home.

Richard was born on June 5, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to Richard (Ike) Lee Cloud, Sr. and Nadine Laverne (Bowman) Cloud.  He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1962.  He married his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Judith Ann (Lee) Cloud, who survives him.  Together they had four children, Rick (Nancy) Cloud, Deede Orazine, Rex (Chris) Cloud, and Ron (Shari) Cloud.  They were blessed with nine grandchildren, Jami (Jeremiah) Thompson, Nicole (Casey) Bell, Jackie (Ryan) Fleece, Jenna Cloud, Nathan (Cassy) Cloud, Evan (Jessica) Orazine, Madalyn Cloud, Ashton Cloud and Corben Cloud.  Their great-grandchildren include Cade, Cora, Kallie, Jacey Jo, Kolbi, Hattie, Ike, and awaiting the arrival of Manning.  He is also survived by his sister, Karen (Jay) Arnold.

Throughout his life, he was an avid race fan and a lover of Ford vehicles.  He enjoyed coaching his sons’ little league teams for many years.  Richard worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Speedway, IN for 47 years.  He was a jack of all trades, which he passed down to his sons.  His sons and daughter valued his opinion and often asked him for advice.  He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened.  He was always willing to lend a hand and never expected anything in return.  He was a huge supporter of President Donald J. Trump.  After his retirement, he and Judy enjoyed taking care of all the great-grandchildren.  Their house was one full of love and laughter.

In addition to Richard’s parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughters, Jessica Ann Faires and Jacy Lee Cloud.
