Robert Bramble, 88 of Pittsboro, Indiana (formerly of Brownsburg), was born into eternal life, March 7, 2025, in his home with his beloved wife at his side.
Robert was born May 7, 1936 in Marshall, Michigan to Walter and Katherine (Boehmer) Bramble. Bob worked at Kennedy Automotive in his high school years, graduating from Marshall High School in 1955. He married his sweetheart, Pansy M. Keiper, on April 14, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church, Marshall, Michigan. The young married couple lived in Marshall until March of 1959. During their time in Marshall he worked at Kellogg's in Battle Creek, Michigan off and on while attending flight school at Embry Riddle in Miami, Florida for two months in 1957. Bob also worked at the Coldwater, Michigan airport for three months and worked part time at Pansy’s father’s sawmill. He was in the Michigan Air National Guard for three years during this time.
They moved to Indiana in April 1959 as Bob started his career as an air traffic controller for the FAA. He retired in 1984 . Bob was a proud 1979 graduate of Marian University, Indianapolis and after retiring went on to get his real estate broker’s license.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pansy; daughters, Mary (Tom) Wetterer, Carmel, Barbara (Ron) Frazee, Indianapolis, Carol (Ed) Blair, Pittsboro and Linda Gowan, Danville. He was a proud grandparent to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His extended family includes many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by their son, Robert Bramble, Jr.; son – in- law, Randy (Linda) Gowan; and granddaughter, Stephanie Wooden.
He loved his family dearly and treasured family vacations taken to many different destinations. Aside from his family he had a passion for flying. He received his private pilot’s license in 1954. He also held a commercial pilots license and instrument rating. Throughout the years he owned several different aircraft. He loved flying and had an airplane up until 2011. Many family members and friends remember their first flight taken with Bob.
Once Bob and Pansy moved to Indiana they lived in the Hendricks County/ Brownsburg area for over 50 years having recently moved to Pittsboro. Aside from his career as an air traffic controller, Bob and Pansy had a small family farm for many years.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 4pm until 7pm, Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, 220 N. Maple Street, Pittsboro, IN.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Friday, March 14, 2025, in Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1005 W Main St, Danville, IN 46122. He will be laid to rest in St. Malachy Cemetery West in Pittsboro, following the Mass.
Memorial gifts have been suggested to: St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, St. Joseph Indian School, or St. Labre Indian School.

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
