Robert Louis Delaby, 50 of Carmel, Indiana was unexpectedly born into eternal life on December 17, 2020 in rural Henderson, Kentucky.

Rob was born into this life on December 1, 1970 in Iowa City, Iowa to Joseph and Emily (Hatcher) Delaby. He was a 1989 graduate of Avon High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1994 from Indiana State University, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.  He married the love of his life, Tricia Grivetti, on May 18, 1996, a loving marriage that endured until his passing.

Rob was the owner and Creative Architect of Oasis Outdoor Living and Landscapes, where he was an expert in landscaping and construction design with multiple certifications and awards.  In addition to his professional pursuits, Rob was an active and faithful parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Rob lived his faith fully with charity and kindness.  He was an especially generous and passionate volunteer with many organizations, most notably the Twisted Pink Foundation.

He was an avid outdoorsman and accomplished hunter and had a never-ending fondness for fine cigars, watches, and bourbon.  Above all, Rob was a devoted family man and friend.   It has been said that before anyone could ever get a request for help out of their mouth, his answer was yes.  He was truly full of life.

In addition to his beloved wife, Tricia, survivors include his children, Louis and Gianna; brother, Bill Delaby; stepfather, Bill Shirley, and his in-laws, Mike and Jan Grivetti extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Delaby and Emily Delaby Shirley.
