Robert J. Williams

Robert J. Williams , 75 of Pittsboro, passed away peacefully, in Brownsburg Meadows on March 15, 2018.

Bob was born, May 12, 1942 in Indianapolis, to Robert and Mary Ruth Williams.He was a graduate of Southport High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana Central College.

Bob worked with GM/Allison Transmission for many years in Marketing, Sales and Service. His career took him around the world where he made many lasting friendships. In addition to his work for Allison’s he was a noted antique dealer, acquiring many pieces and traveling to countless shows and events.

Bob had a great fondness of the outdoors and some of his happiest memories were during his time on Round Lake in Minnesota. He especially loved trains, fishing, Indy Car Racing and spending time with his beloved dog Sadie, as she played on the frozen lake.

Survivors include his devoted son, Stuart (wife Christy), grandsons, Ian, Aidan, and Grahm Williams, and sister, Mary Kay Denny

Friends and family will gather from 4pm until 6pm in the David A. Hall Mortuary, 220 N. Maple Street, Pittsboro, IN, Monday, March 19, 2018. A Celebration of Bob’s life will follow at 6 pm.  Private family inurnment will follow at a later date.

Memorial gifts are encouraged to two of Bob’s favorite charities, The Wild and Free Garrison Animal Hospital and the Cornerstone Christian Church Food Pantry in Brownsburg.
