R. Scott Bruce

R. Scott Bruce, 64 of Lizton (formerly of Pittsboro), Indiana, peacefully passed away on September 27, 2022.  Scott was born on May 1, 1958, in Sullivan, Indiana to James R. and Glenda J. (Johnson) Bruce.  He graduated from Tri-West High School in 1977 and worked in production at Allison’s Transmission and Chevrolet, ultimately retiring from Rolls-Royce.  Scott was a kind-hearted person who loved children and dogs.

Scott is preceded in death by his sister, Terri Joann Bruce.  He is survived by his parents, James and Glenda Bruce; his brother, Rusty (wife Terry) Bruce; his sister, Lisa R. (husband Rory) Wray; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 10 am to 11 am, with the funeral service beginning at 11 am.  Immediately following the service, all are welcome to be present as Scott is laid to rest near his sister, Terri, in Sparks Cemetery in Pittsboro, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler Mission Ministries.
