Shirley Riddle

Shirley Riddle, 79 of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away peacefully at her home on July 24, 2019, in the care of her loving family.  Shirley was born to Russell and Lorraine (Sterling) Gericke on September 6, 1939 in Tuscola, Illinois.  She was a 1957 graduate of Pittsboro High School and married Berlie Riddle on September 6, 1958, a loving union that would last over 60 years, until her passing.

Shirley was the Town Clerk for Pittsboro and was a member of the Pittsboro United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and the Phi Beta Psi Sorority.

She is survived by her husband, Berlie Riddle; her sons, Barry (wife Cheryl) Riddle and Dr. Gary (wife Loida) Riddle; daughter, Rhonda (husband Ron) Prickett; sister, Connie Sisil; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Russel “Ray” Gericke, Nina Burger, and Irving Gericke, and one grandchild.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 Noon, July 29, 2019 in the Pittsboro United Methodist Church, where friends and family will gather from 11am, until the time of service.

Although flowers are appreciated, memorial gifts have been suggested to Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
