Steven Lee Scott, age 70, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away on July 28, 2022. Born November 7, 1951, in Brazil, Indiana, he was the son of the late Leo Arnold Scott and Alice Faye (Price) Brodehl.
Steve was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1971. He was decorated with medals for National Defense Service and Vietnam Service. Steve spent many years balancing the life of a single father and worked hard to provide for his family.
He was always laid back and enjoyed the outdoors. He always found ways to combine his love of the outdoors with the love that he had for his kids by creating adventures that included trips to Eagle Creek and Morse Reservoir where they would fish, watch sailboats, and go on nature walks.
Steve decided to move from Indianapolis to Arizona in 1997 to be closer to his mother. He spent that last several years of his working days a carpenter for Pulte Homes until he officially retired. Arizona brought warmer weather and mountain views that provided a peaceful retirement life for him.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his siblings, Matthew Scott, Greg Scott, and Kelly McCreary. He is survived by his children, Benajmin (Beth) Scott of Carmel, Indiana and Stephanie (Chris) Dunn of Anderson, Indiana; his grandchildren, Alex (Pamela) Pisockyj of Denver, Colorado, Denzel Scott of Noblesville, Indiana, Jalen Dunn of Anderson, Indiana, and Destiny Scott of Carmel, Indiana; and his sisters, Cindy Wimbush and Shelly Szuch, both of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at The Pentecostals of Westfield located at 132 South Union Street, Westfield, Indiana 46074 from 1 pm until the time of the Celebration of Steve's Life at 3 pm.
