Suzanne Cape, 63 of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2023. Suzanne was born on December 23, 1959, in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Richard and Elaine (Skowron) Potampa. On June 7th 1997, she married Nicholas Cape, a loving union that would last until her passing. She diligently and with love made their house a home and lived up to her name as a Suzy Homemaker. She had a delightful sense of humor, an infectious smile, and will be missed dearly by so many.
Growing up in Palos Verdes Estates, CA, she was a member of the Seirra Club, went to college, worked at Fax Press which she loved, then PSRG /PPI Yokahama. She then moved to Florida in the mid 90's after meeting Nicholas. Her biggest loves have been her Scotties, Angus, Mirren, Archibald and Wallace, and her husband, of course maybe in that order. A keen eye for fashion instilled at an early age by her mother and sisters made " shopping for life " a forgone conclusion. Happiest in the kitchen, cooking came natural to her.
Moving to Brownsburg, Indiana on her birthday in 2019, she felt this was the home she had always been looking for. She was the happiest she had ever been. Sundays were the most sacred day, up early rain or shine, Alexa blaring Morrissy "Every Day is Like Sunday", taking the boys to the park, getting pup cups, then driving through the country roads with the lads in her lap and their heads out the window looking for cows, horses, goats, whatever they could bark at. They were our best days together.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her father, Richard Potampa and her younger sister, Laura Potampa.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nicholas Cape; her mother, Elaine Potampa; her sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Tom Ziv; Robin and Tom's sons, Alex and Nicholas; her eldest brother, Mark Potampa; her younger brother, Chris Potampa; Maureen Cape; Dominic and Diane Cape; Dominic and Diane's sons, Reginald Cape and Colin Cape; Minerva Babtista Rodrigues; Gabbi and Bret Irving along with their children, Victoria, Nicolas, Travis and his wife Tracy; and of course Suzy's boys, Archibald and Wallace.
