Ted Bitting, Sr

TED BITTING, Sr., 68, of Pittsboro, Indiana passed away on October 30, 2016.

Ted was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 29, 1948 the son of the late Pete and Sophie (Sovich) Bitting. He married Patricia (Henry) Bitting on January 30, 1971. They lived and raised their children in Altoona, Iowa.

Ted was involved in Indy Car Racing for 20+ years as a Transport Driver and Team Manager. He was recently inducted in the Old Times Club in Speedway. Ted was beloved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors: Wife, Patti Bitting; Sons, Rob (Tammy) Channell, Thomas (Melissa) Bitting, Jr., Pete (April) Bitting; Daughter, Monica Wimber; Brothers, Floyd, Jerry, Joe, Wilbur Bitting; Sisters, Cyndi Conner; Shirley Clark; 10 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Sisters, and 1 Brother.

Visitation will be Friday, November 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be Saturday, November 5 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at K of P Cemetery, Lizton, Indiana.
