Tommy Hugh Burgan, 77 of Danville, Indiana peacefully passed away on March 1, 2020 surrounded by his loving family in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Tommy was born on September 7, 1942 to Ray and Christie (Hall) Burgan in Derby, Virginia. After graduating high school in Appalachia, Virginia, he joined the National Guard and was a starch operator for National Starch. On November 28, 1962, he married the love of his life, Mary (Blackburn) Burgan. Tommy loved spending time with his family and enjoyed his time spent at the Senior Center in Danville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Jim Burgan, Frank Burgan, Ruby Murphy, Emma Jean Boyd, and Shirley Estridge. Tommy is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Joanne (Lance) Kennedy and Kim (Brian) Shelton; his grandchildren, Alexandria and Kyle Shelton; and his brother, Bill Burgan.
There will be a graveside service held for Tommy on Thursday, March 5, 2020, 11 am, at K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.
