Wesley Eldon Eckler, 85 of Pittsboro, passed away, Monday, September 18 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Indiana.

He was born April 4, 1932 in Dry Ridge, KY to the late John Wesley and Sylvia May (Myers) Eckler.  He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On July 22, 1966, he married Hazel L.  Mobley a union that would last over 52 years until his passing. He worked for many years at Allison Transmission as a Personnel Representative prior to his retirement.

In addition to his loving wife, Hazel L. Eckler, he is survived by his daughter, Debbie (husband Steve) Hazelbaker and three grandsons.

Friends and family will gather from 11 am until 2 pm, Friday, September 22 in the David A. Hall Mortuary, 220 N. Maple Street, Pittsboro, IN, with the Funeral Service immediately following at 2 pm. Following the funeral service, he will be laid to rest in the K of P Cemetery, Lizton, IN.

It is suggested that memorial gifts be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
