Gladys M. Hinkle

Gladys M. Hinkle, 80, Indianapolis and formerly of Lebanon, passed June 20 at Community East Hospital.

Born April 23, 1936 the daughter of Alma and Hazel (Jacox) Davis Wilcox.

Gladys is survived by her husband of 62 fabulous married years, Henry Nolan Hinkle. She is also survived by sons Nolan Leroy Hinkle, Charles Arthur Hinkle, Philip Joseph Hinkle, all of Indianapolis; daughters Daisy Benedict (Curt Jaite) of Indianapolis, Darlynda Klingele (Troy), Pasco, WA, Deanna Garnand (Mark) of Lebanon, Danita Cichecki (Ted) of Colfax, IL; 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Della Lee, of Burbank, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; 2 daughter-in-laws; and step-father.

She was a member of the Traders Point Church of Christ. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Gladys enjoyed crafting, church and her family. She was a very warm and loving person who never met a stranger. Gladys loved every child she met and wanted to hold all the babies. She has many adopted family members. Gladys returned to High School where she received her diploma with her oldest son in 1974 at Thorntown, IN. Gladys will be gravely missed by many.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at David A. Hall Mortuary. Services will be Friday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at the mortuary with entombment to follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
